The NSW Government’s First Lap voucher program is officially open. Parents, guardians, and carers of children aged 3-6 years who have not started school or children who are enrolled in kindergarten in 2022 or 2023 can now claim a $50 voucher to help pay for swimming lessons!

By making swimming and water safety education more accessible for families, the First Lap program will help keep NSW children healthy, happy, and safe in and around the water.

What is the First Lap voucher and who is eligible to use it?

The First Lap voucher program provides $50 vouchers for parents, guardians and carers of children
aged 3-6 years who are not enrolled in school to help pay for swimming lessons. The First Lap voucher
program will run from 1 December 2023 to 30 June 2024.

How to claim and use your voucher

Apply for the voucher

Visit service.nsw.gov.au or open the Service NSW app. Search for ‘First Lap’ and follow the prompts to apply.

Open your voucher confirmation email or open the voucher in the Service NSW app.
